Wes Anderson’s latest film, a period piece called The French Dispatch, “brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city,” according to its synopsis. The film’s new poster, just released Tuesday, captures that frenetic energy.
The cast is outlined in blocky, newspaper-esque columns, including Tilda Swinton in an orange wig, Frances McDormand and Bill Murray gazing off into the distance, Timothée Chalamet in a bath, and Owen Wilson wearing a beret and riding a bike. The image affirms Anderson’s characteristic style, with the pastel color palette and the intensity of the geographical detail.
