Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac and Co. Plot to Rob the World’s Most Violent Cartel in Netflix’s Explosive Triple Frontier Trailer

Oscar-nominated director J.C. Chandor’s first film since 2014’s A Most Violent Year is nearly here, with Netflix trotting out a first look at the action thriller on Sunday night. The trailer, which you can watch down below, shows off Triple Frontier’s stunning cinematography and stacked cast, led by the fearsome fivesome of Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Pedro Pascal and Garrett Hedlund.

Netflix’s synopsis of the film reads:

A group of former Special Forces operatives reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers, these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for self instead of country. But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties and their morals are pushed to a breaking point in an epic battle for survival.

Chandor cowrote the film’s script with Oscar winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), based on a story by Boal. The film’s cast, which also features Pacific Rim: Uprising’s Adria Arjona in addition to all those dudes, originally looked way different: We last reported on it in February of 2017, when Mahershala Ali was in talks to star alongside Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy. Clearly, there have been some changes since then.

Triple Frontier comes to Netflix and select theaters in March. Watch the trailer below.
