Today the two-minute teaser trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was released, and it promises one thing: war.
Not only is Smaug ready to bring his fiery wrath, but Sauron has sent his army of Orcs to attack the Lonely Mountain. With conflict rising, dwarves, elves, men and a lone Hobbit must unite in order save Middle-earth.
The trailer brings us back to the Lord of the Rings trilogy by using the Return of the King’s theme. Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D in theaters on Dec. 17, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies already looks to be a standout of the prequel trilogy. Watch the trailer above.
