Wes Anderson Announces His Next Animated Film, Isle of Dogs

With Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson is on a hot streak right now with his signature brand of delightfully whimsical, yet emotionally affecting movies. Now he’s announced his next movie Isle of Dogs, and there’s a chance you could be in it.

Isle of Dogs will be an animated movie in the vein of Fantastic Mr. Fox, featuring the voices of Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, F. Murray Abraham, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Yoko Ono, Courtney B. Vance, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Bob Balaban, Liev Schreiber and Edward Norton, whose character Rex is in the sneak preview Anderson shows in the announcement video.

Along with that news, Anderson revealed that the movie will be raising money for the Film Foundation, a non-profit started in 1990 by Martin Scorsese for the preservation and restoration of movie history. If you donate to the fundraiser you’ll be entered to win an invitation to the Isle of Dogs set in England and a role in the movie as one of the dogs. 50 people will also get a Criterion collection DVD signed by Anderson, and 25 others will get a signed DVD and a copy of The Wes Anderson Collection book.

You can donate to the fundraiser here and watch Anderson’s announcement and sneak peak below.
