On Monday, 100 gecs shared the remix for “ringtone,” the second remix from their album 1000 gecs after A.G. Cook’s take on their breakout hit “money machine.” The remix featured an impressive retinue of pop’s most hyperactive players, including Charli XCX, Sarah of Kero Kero Bonito, and an exceptionally giddy Rico Nasty. Both tracks are planned for 100 gecs’ forthcoming remix album titled 1000 gecs & The Tree of Clues (née 1000 gecs & th3 phant0m m3nac3), which, according to an interview with Zane Lowe, will include numerous guest artists including Dorian Electra, Hannah Diamond, Tommy Cash and Nicole Dollanganger. The remix album will also include fans’ work, given 100 gecs took to releasing stems for their album via Twitter.
Ahead of Tree of Clues’ release, 100 gecs have announced a headlining world tour, their first dates since their support on Brockhampton’s tour alongside slowthai. During their stint with Brockhampton, 100 gecs performed seven solo dates on their “Secret Tour.”
