A. Savage, Rough Trade Records’ newest signing and co-frontman of NYC band Parquet Courts, has released a new single and announced a North American tour. “Thanksgiving Prayer” combines hints of the Smiths, Silver Jews and Tim Burton. Eerie and melancholic, the track traces a poetic rabbit-hole through an ever-shifting universe. It’s a sonnet and an instruction manual on living all at once, one Savage centers around a cheeky recognition of his favorite holiday.
