A Tribe Called Quest’s Final Album Projected to Hit No. 1

A Tribe Called Quest’s We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service is an incredible album on its own, but after the passing of founding member Phife Dawg and the announcement that it would be the legendary group’s final album, it’s taken on even more significance. Seeing artists who inspired a whole generation of hip-hop come back together one final time, after 16 years apart, and produce one of the best albums of the year is gratifying enough, but now there’s even more good news for the group.

According to Billboard, the album is heading for the number-one spot, with roughly 120,000 in album sales and equivalent streaming units. That would make We got it from Here… the group’s first number-one album since Beats, Rhymes and Life in 1996, just over 20 years ago.
