A$AP Rocky and two other American co-defendants will be released from Swedish detention ahead of the announcement of a final verdict on their assault case, the Associated Press reports.
It’s been a grueling month for the American rapper, who was arrested in late June following a violent altercation with a 19-year-old man in Stockholm. Rocky testified he scuffled with victim Mustafa Jafari in self-defense after he and another man began harassing and following the rapper, but Jafari’s account of the events alleged it was Rocky’s bodyguard who assaulted him first.
Rocky’s arrest, detainment and eventual trial was the hot political and entertainment topic of the week, leading to public outcry from peers, fans and eventually President Trump, who took to Twitter to intervene in the case and hired a top hostage negotiator to monitor the trial.
Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem! #FreeRocky

The Stockholm District Court is not requiring the three jailed suspects to stay in the country while awaiting the Aug. 14 decision, per The New York Times, but it looks like Rocky might not want to leave in the first place:
