Bassist Cliff Williams Leaving AC/DC After Band’s Current Tour

Bassist Cliff Williams will officially retire from AC/DC after the band’s current tour, NME reports.

Williams told Gulfshore Life that since guitarist Malcolm Young, drummer Phil Rudd and singer Brian Johnson stepped down, the band is a “changed animal,” and “backing off of touring and recording” is “the right thing.”

Young and Johnson left due to health issues, while Rudd was sentenced to house arrest after being found guilty of threatening murder.

Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose replaced Johnson as the band’s new frontman. AC/DC is touring until the end of September—find their remaining dates below.
