Albert Hammond Jr. Releases Teenage Romance-Themed “Set to Attack” Video

Albert Hammond Jr. has released a new video from his new album, Francis Trouble, released earlier this month via Red Bull Records.

Francis Trouble is the Strokes guitarist’s fourth solo album and his first since 2015’s Momentary Masters. His deeply personal new album explores the stillborn death of his twin brother, Francis, and how it has affected his life and music since then.

The “Set to Attack” video follows the release of previous singles “Muted Beatings” and “Far Away Truths.” Hammond Jr. debuted the single on James Corden’s Late Late Show earlier this month.

The lyrics for “Set to Attack” delve into the yearning, the awkwardness and all the pitfalls of teenage romance—the new video follows a group of teenage skaters who fall in and out of love. The song features Hammond Jr.’s instantly recognizable, percussive guitar hooks and riffs, and he even adds more subtle nuances and tones to his voice, showing how much he’s really come into his own as a lead vocalist.

Hammond Jr. is currently on a North American tour in support of Francis Trouble, and he’s due to make stops in Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle and other cities.
