Allegra Krieger Releases New Single "Lingering"

Double Double Whammy’s new signing Allegra Krieger has released the second single off her upcoming LP, I Keep My Feet on The Fragile Plane, out July 21. “Lingering” is a hazy, intricately woven ode to New York City, Krieger’s home base. The track delicately details the beauty and pitfalls of young urban life–the richly painted, nerve-wracking, indelible genesis of your independence through the lens of newly pungent garbage and old, “lingering” light. It is simultaneously abstract and poignant, the perfect description of the indescribable fact of living.

I Keep My Feet on the Fragile Plane is Krieger’s fourth album, and it promises to bear the thoughtful ornamentations of an artist who knows herself. The fragile plane itself is “a middle ground in the universe,” per Krieger–a blank space where her ideas can dance around each other and merge into a vibrant, ethereal realm of sound.
