Amor De Dias – Late Mornings
Wolfgang's Vault (San Francisco, CA), 06/03/2011
Combining the best of British folk and psychedelia with breezy bossa nova, Amor de Días creates thoughtful chamber pop for autumn afternoons and summer sunsets, where plaintive Spanish guitar coincides with sweet and gentle melodies sung in hushed tones. The project came together in London, where Alasdair MacLean of the Clientele and Lupe Núñez-Fernández of the band Pipas began exploring their shared interest in the nylon-stringed instrument. Three years later, the esteemed indie label Merge Records released Street of the Love of Days, the first album to result from the collaboration, which continues with this lovely Vault Session.
