At the end of February Andrew Bird released his duet with Fiona Apple, “Left Handed Kisses,” though he missed an excellent opportunity by not releasing his anti-love song on Valentine’s Day.
Today, in a total dad move, Bird shared the song’s video on Facebook (check the comments section, Bird also chats with fans). Directed by Philip Andelman, who has worked with Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Rihanna, the “Left Handed Kisses” video adds a new dimension to the song. Bird and Apple star together and act out the song as if it were a relatively heated lover’s spat. Apple brakes a vase in anger, but the video still retains Bird’s playful sense of humor.
Are You Serious?, Bird’s 13th studio album, is out April 1. He will be visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show March 16 and possibly a city near you (tour dates below).
