Psych-pop group Animal Collective have announced a 2018 tour centering on their 2004 album Sung Tongs, released through FatCat Records. Sung Tongs, the album that many consider to be Animal Collective’s breakthrough record, will be performed in its entirety by the two band members who first recorded the album, Avey Tare (David Portner) and Panda Bear (Noah Lennox).
The pair will travel through Europe and the U.S. during their 17-city tour. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m. local time. A special password (sungtongs18) will unlock presale tickets for the shows on Tuesday, March 20 at 12 p.m. local time. More ticketing information can be found via the band’s website. Sung Tongs was recently re-released on vinyl through My Animal Home and is available to purchase here.
