Arctic Monkeys Release Live in Mexico Tour Video

Indie-rock juggernauts Arctic Monkeys have released a mini-tour documentary capturing the band’s biggest headlining show ever in Mexico City from earlier this year.

Live in Mexico splices together footage of the band rehearsing, vocalist Alex Turner waltzing in front of a stadium full of blinking flashlights and crooning at the helm of a keyboard, drummer Matt Helders nearly killing himself during a rendition of “Brianstorm” and a turtle just doing his thing in a field of flowers.

The video was directed by previous Arctic Monkeys visual collaborator Ben Chappell, who gave the video its sun-kissed, romantic, motel-sleazy feel.

The band stopped in Mexico City on one of the last nights of their world tour in support of their latest studio effort, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. The video includes live footage of several cuts from the album, including “The Ultracheese” and “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.”

Take a peek at the video and revisit our 2014 interview with Turner below. While you’re at it, check out our piece celebrating the 13-year anniversary of the band’s landmark debut album here.
