Photo by Tasos KatopodisAriana Grande is scheduling a benefit concert in Manchester after an attack at her concert earlier last week left 22 dead and many more injured.
The pop star released a statement announcing the concert via her Twitter, stating “Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So that is what it will continue to do for us.” That Grande is planning a return trip to the city in which she had a brush with death not even a full week ago is a testament to her dedication to her fans and to her music. Proceeds will go to the families of those killed and injured in the attack. Additional details of the concert are to come as they are confirmed.
Grande also said in the statement that she will think of those affected by this tragedy “with everything [she does] for the rest of [her] life.” You can donate to support the families of those killed and injured here.
