Atlanta man found guilty of stealing Beyoncé’s unreleased music

Kelvin Evans, who was arrested in 2025 for stealing hard drives that contained unreleased Beyoncé music, set lists, and tour footage from a car being used by her choreographer and backup dancers, took a plea deal in court on Tuesday, avoiding a jury trial that was set for today (May 12). Evans pled guilty to single counts of criminal trespass and entering a vehicle with the intention to commit theft. His full sentence is five years, including two years in prison and three years on probation, and he has been ordered to stay away from the victims and the robbery’s location.

During Tuesday’s plea hearing, prosecutors detailed surveillance footage that showed Evans driving into an Atlanta garage and parking next to a Jeep. Evans then examined the car, removed suitcases from it, and carried them into a building connected to his sister, Fox 5 Atlanta reports. The suitcases were never seen again, and the stolen items, including Beyoncé’s music files, have not been recovered. Evans allegedly referred to himself as “the king thief of Atlanta” in an interview.
