Up-and-coming R&B singer BJ The Chicago Kid, who made some waves with a string of singles released in 2015, will be releasing his debut album, In My Mind, on Feb. 19. And given that the lineup of features includes Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, and Big K.R.I.T., there’s plenty of reason to be excited.
BJ has spent the past decade as a singer and songwriter, contributing vocals to Stevie Wonder’s 2005 album A Time To Love before more recently associating with members of Top Dawg Entertainment such as ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. Thus far in 2016, he’s appeared on Anderson .Paak’s “The Waters” and put out a tribute EP to D’Angelo.
