Bleached Are Cool as a Ghoul in New Music Video “Kiss You Goodbye”

Sunkissed, Los Angeles-based duo Bleached have released the newest single from their forthcoming album, a bouncy, raucous track called “Kiss You Goodbye.”

A funky bass riff carries the song through vibrant, glimmering chords and pop-sweetened drum loops as vocalist Jennifer Clavin bids adieu to whichever lover-of-the-moment she’s grown sick of. It’s the summertime—she has no time for romantic bullshit.

“Kiss you goodbye / For the last time,” she declares nonchalantly. “Some things are meant to die.”

The band also released the Giraffe Studios-directed music video for the track, a sunny, ‘70s-inspired affair rife with bodybuilders and bell-bottomed babes that finds the band cool as a ghoul in sunglasses, roller skates and knee-highs.

The new track is pulled from the band’s new album, Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough?, due July 12 via Dead Oceans.

The band’s first album written in a period of sobriety, Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough? features Bleached’s most sonically ambitious songwriting to date. With help from producer Shane Stoneback (Vampire Weekend, Sleigh Bells), the band found themselves experimenting with a poppier, more arena-ready sound and molding it to fit the Bleached brand of jagged, hotboxed songwriting.
