Chicago musician Bnny (the solo project of Jessica Viscius) has announced her new album, One Million Love Songs , which will be unveiled on April 5 via Fire Talk Records. Viscius’s upcoming album explores the sorrowful and triumphant nuances of love. Following an immense personal tragedy, Viscius found catharsis within her songwriting. One Million Love Songs showcases an intentionally more positive and hopeful perspective compared to her debut, Everything . “I wanted to make songs that are exciting to play—songs that make me feel happy,” says Viscius of One Million Love Songs . “This album is about love after loss, getting older and just trying to have fun with a broken heart.”
Viscius released her lead single, “Good Stuff,” in conjunction with the album announcement. Lingering and atmospheric, Viscius reminisces about the best parts of a past relationship over a fleecy blend of synth and guitar. “It’s a breakup song,” says Viscius of the single, “but it’s hopeful, optimistic even. Or perhaps it’s just the denial, hoping things will be different next time, hoping that love can save you.”
