Bob Seger Announces Final Tour with Silver Bullet Band
Photo by Larry Busacca/GettyIn what feels like the end of an era, Bob Seger has announced his final run with the Silver Bullet Band on the Travelin’ Man Tour.
With a career dating back to the late ‘60s and spanning 50-plus years, Seger has received seven multi-platinum, four platinum and two gold album sales certifications. Despite releasing his 18th studio album, I Knew You When, as recently as 2017, rumors of the singer-songwriter winding down his career—at least on the touring front—have been circling for years.
The 73-year-old Detroit classic rocker is appropriately beginning the tour in Michigan, kicking things off in Grand Rapids on Nov. 21. Continuing through 2019, the tour currently spans 23 dates—though more are expected to be added-—and builds on the rescheduled 2017 Runaway Train Tour dates that were canceled due to medical issues.
Tickets for Seger’s final run go on sale on Sept. 28, and can be found here. You can find the current schedule of shows below, along with Paste archival audio from a 2007 Seger show.
