Bombay Bicycle Club Tease New Music Coming Wednesday

Back in September, Bombay Bicycle Club announced their return after a three-year hiatus, dropping a great self-referential single, “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You),” ahead of a new album, Everything Else Has Gone Wrong, out Jan. 17, 2020. The group has stayed quiet since, until now: They’ve teased a new track out Wednesday, Nov. 27, with an 18-second YouTube clip.

The clip features guitarist Jamie MacColl in the recording studio and fades into a brief snippet of the finished track, which sounds more rock-and-roll—and less lighthearted—than “Eat, Sleep, Wake”: “Aching for a word, and the words are not coming,” sings vocalist Jack Steadman. Eagle-eared fans have identified the clip as the album’s title track, which the band have been performing live.

Watch the teaser below and keep your ears peeled for new music Wednesday. In the meantime, you can revisit Bombay Bicycle Club’s 2012 Daytrotter session below.
