11 sets canceled on final day of Bonnaroo 2026 due to adverse weather conditions

The Tennessee festival once again fell victim to inclement weather.

11 sets canceled on final day of Bonnaroo 2026 due to adverse weather conditions

Bonnaroo once again had its parade rained on this year, with severe storms forcing the festival to cancel the sets of numerous artists on Sunday. After an initial postponement early Sunday afternoon, organizers announced the evacuation of Centeroo, the festival’s main performance area, due to “moderate to heavy rain and lightning” that they expected to occur for the following 2-3 hours. The festival grounds were eventually reopened later that day, though not without having to cancel the sets of 11 artists. Particularly hard done by were pop-rock duo Aly and AJ, who saw their set cancelled at Bonnaroo for the second year in a row. “We know so many of you were waiting in the mud to hear us play,” they wrote in an Instagram post. “We love you TN. Don’t let us down, third year in a row.”

Following multiple incidents of the festival being affected by severe weather conditions, organizers have explored the possibility of moving its dates to late September, though no changes were made this year following a user survey sent out to attendees. Bonnaroovians can take heart in the fact that they’re not alone—Gov Ball was forced to cancel/reschedule multiple sets and, across the Atlantic, poor weather conditions also affected Primavera Sound in Barcelona last week, with numerous sets being cancelled as a result.
