Daily Dose: Broads, “Climbs”

There are plenty of different musical moods to be found on Field Theory, the latest album from U.K. duo Broads. One of the strongest colors on their palette is when they get into electropop mode and bring to it a deeply felt sense of melancholy and a minimalist aesthetic that other producers would fear. That’s the setting of “Climbs,” a vibrant little number that features a vocal turn from folk singer/songwriter Milly Hirst. For this video, the song has been matched up perfectly with animation created by Tara Jane Peak, who literally draws out the abstract beauty of this song and injects it with a knowing sense of humor.
