Torontonian indie-rock collective Broken Social Scene made a long-awaited return last summer, releasing their first new album in nearly a decade, Hug of Thunder. Today, the band have announced spring tour dates in support of their latest release, after touring the U.S. throughout the fall for the first time in six years.
Broken Social Scene’s spring run begins with a March 23 stop at Stubbs in Austin, Texas. From there, the band will play their way through the Southeast, working their way to the Northeast in early April before wrapping up in Montclair, N.J. on April 8. The band will perform at three noteworthy festivals in June and August: London’s All Points East (June 2), Tennessee’s Bonnaroo (June 7-10) and Portland, Ore.’s Pickathon (Aug. 3-5).
Tickets are available via Spotify pre-sale starting Thursday, Feb. 1, then to the general public on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. local time—find out more here. The band has partnered with PLUS1, with $1 from each tour ticket going towards saving lives, revitalizing communities and transforming global health through Partners In Health.
