Feist to Rejoin Broken Social Scene for Feature on New Album

Canadian indie-rock collective Broken Social Scene casually regrouped earlier this summer to play their first live shows in half a decade. Since their most recent album Forgiveness Rock Records in 2010, and their official “last” show in November of 2011, the band’s individuals have been quite active—Kevin Drew released Darlings in 2014, Leslie Feist was in The Muppets, Amy Millan released an album with Stars in 2014, and Emily Haines and James Shaw released an album with Metric in 2015, just to name a few.

Now, following the band’s reconvening, Feist has officially declared that she will feature on their new album. Sharing a photo of herself performing live with the band in 2004 on Instagram, she wrote: “Tomorrow I go join my broken brothers to add my ‘loverspit’ to the new #brokensocialscene album. Reunion Union.”

Although details about the forthcoming album have yet to be released, Feist is certainly on board, and the band’s hiatus is becoming a little less indefinite. Find her Instagram post below.
