Bruce Springsteen Confirms New Album and Tour with E Street Band

Just a few weeks ahead of the release of his new solo album Western Stars, The Boss himself has confirmed a forthcoming album, and subsequent tour, with his E Street Band.

“We will go on tour next year. I’ll record with the E Street Band in autumn and, when we are done, we’ll go on tour,” Bruce Springsteen told Italy’s la Repubblica. “Of course I’ll come to Rome. I love it.”

Springsteen first teased the album while conversing with Martin Scorsese to promote Netflix’s Springsteen on Broadway.

“About a month or so ago, I wrote almost an album’s worth of material for the band,” Springsteen told Scorsese, adding, “There’ll be another tour!”

Their forthcoming tour marks the first touring venture for E Street Band since their 2016-2017 tour in support of their The River boxset. Similarly, the album is the band’s first since their 2014 release High Hopes.

The exciting announcement comes just a couple months before the rock legend’s 70th birthday, and if he’s shown anything in his career, it’s that age isn’t slowing him down at all.
