Bully Debut Angsty New Single “Running”
Images via Alyssa Gafkjen, Sub PopNashville indie rockers Bully are back with another one from their forthcoming release Losing: They’ve debuted the angsty “Running,” a song that frontwoman Alicia Bognano says “is about shamelessly keeping yourself distracted or making up excuses to avoid processing certain emotions.” The song kicks off with an edgy bass line leading into even edgier vocals, expressing all the feels of a generation emerging into adulthood.
Bully previously released the intensely energetic “Feel the Same” when they announced their sophomore album. The 2015 Best of What’s Next picks first entered into the music scene with their record Feels Like that same year. Since then, they’ve been channeling the likes of The Breeders and Sonic Youth to grace us with perfectly dialed-down punk anthems.
Bully are set to go on tour this fall and added additional dates for next year. Check out the new dates below, and listen to their new single, along with the band’s 2014 Daytrotter Session, below. Losing is out on Oct. 20.
