Charli XCX and BTS Team up for New Track “Dream Glow”

So far, it looks like Charli XCX is keeping her promise of releasing new music for five months straight.

The singer has just released her collaboration with South Korean boyband phenomenon BTS, a mellow, dark-pop dance track featured on the original soundtrack for the band’s forthcoming mobile game, BTS World.

“Dream Glow” is split into both English and Korean, features only three members out of the seven-member band—Jin, Jimin and Jungkook—and was produced by bonafide hitmakers Stargate, who are responsible for some of the biggest pop hits of the past decade and have extensively collaborated with Charli in the past. And yes, Twitter is already ablaze.

News of a potential collaboration began circulating after a BTS fan account noticed Charli XCX was registered as a songwriter alongside BTS on a recent Broadcast Music, Inc. BMI song registration in May.

“Dream Glow” marks BTS’s first single since releasing their newest studio album Map Of The Soul: Persona in April and their second venture into collaborating with American pop stars (their single with Halsey debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in the U.S.).

Charli XCX recently appeared on Diplo’s rework of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” and announced a second collaboration with Troye Sivan on Twitter.

Listen to the new single below, along with Charli’s 2012 Daytrotter Session, and revisit our 2017 talk with the boyband here.
