Charly Bliss Appear to Be Teasing New Music on Instagram

Brooklyn power-pop outfit Charly Bliss appear to be teasing new music. The band deleted all of their posts on Instagram this past weekend and replaced them with a single video of a dimly lit room with a drum loop over it, a move which nowadays is tantamount to just sending out a press release announcing a new album.

The band also apparently sent fans a cryptic email over the weekend. One Reddit user claims the subject line read, “triple overtime ambitious,” and that the message was a picture of an empty room overlaid with text saying, “sometimes nothing is delicious,” although this hasn’t been corroborated anywhere else.

If this does end up signaling the release of a new Charly Bliss album, it would serve as the follow-up to the band’s beloved 2017 debut Guppy. Charly Bliss last put out new music in September 2018 with the single “Heaven,” a longtime staple of their live shows. They spent the remainder of the fall on tour across the country with Death Cab for Cutie, stopping at huge venues like Brooklyn’s Kings Theater and L.A.’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery along the way.

While we wait to see what Charly Bliss has in store for us, check out the band’s 2017 Paste Studio session below.
