We included L.A.’s Cherry Glazerr in our recent list of must-see rock bands at Coachella, which kicked off Friday and returns again next weekend in Indio, Calif. In advance of their Saturday set, Clementine Creevy and Co. shared a brand new track, “Juicy Socks,” and a gloriously sleazy accompanying video. Coachella goers can catch them again on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
“I don’t want nobody hurt/ But I made an exception with him,” Creevy opens the track, her tender voice turning ominous. In the clip, chaos erupts inside a party bus, complete with stripper poles, glitter, creepy masks, and some choice shredding. Creevy says: ”’Juicy Socks’ is about vocalization. Using one’s voice as a strong weapon and needing to be heard in order to not feel like shit. Oh also, it’s about wanting to smash Donald Trump’s orange fuckin’ head into a brick wall!”
“Juicy Socks” is the first single since Cherry Glazerr’s 2017 sophomore record, Apocalipstick, came out in January 2017.
