Brooklyn rapper Cisco Swank has a debut album on the way this month. More Better arrives on May 31 via THANKS Recordings, and was teased earlier this year with lead single “All The Same.” With More Better‘s release on the horizon, Swank has unveiled “No Funny,” an ambitious and delicate ecosystem of jazz, soul, gospel and rap. Done in collaboration with Yoshi T, “All The Same” is reflective, vulnerable and instrumentally beautiful. Swank leaves his mark on every listener, as he considers where he’s been and where he and his community are going.
More Better follows Some Things Take Time, Swank’s 2022 collaborative album done with Chicago producer Luke Titus. Some Things Take Time was one of the best hip-hop and jazz-rap LPs of last year, and this new turn in Swank’s artistry only signifies his indescribable potential.
