In support of their forthcoming album Life Without Sound, Cloud Nothings have announced a string of U.S., Canadian and European tour dates, and additionally released the video for the album’s lead single, “Modern Act.”
Directed by Michael J.S. Murphy, “Modern Act” follows an elderly version of the band attending drummer Jayson Gerycz’s funeral, as each member is individually picked off by a grim reaper. The trio is then reunited in the afterlife, where they cheerfully jam out together on a beach.
Life Without Sound is due out Jan. 27 via Carpark Records. Watch “Modern Act” above, find Paste Cloud audio from the band’s 2010 Daytrotter session below, and further down, see if Cloud Nothings are coming to a town near you, hopefully without a grim reaper in tow.
