Ahead of day one on Friday, Coachella’s organizers have announced full set times for its first week. The biggest announcement was the last-minute addition of Jack White, who, on the heels of his recent Saturday Night Live performance, will appear as the 45-minute opening act on the festival’s Mojave stage at 3 p.m. on Saturday. White’s last Coachella appearance was 11 years ago, when he was a headliner. Current headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G are also set to perform. Electronic artist Anyma has been confirmed as a quasi-headliner, playing after Carpenter on Friday night. Blood Orange’s set will happen after Carpenter’s and be in the round on the Mojave stage.
The Nine Inch Noize (Nine Inch Nails feat. Boys Noize) set will now take place on Saturday, while Foster the People have been moved from Friday to Sunday. In addition to White, Tijuana Panthers, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Afrojack x Smiza, Deep Dish, Not For Radio, and JOY have been added to the itinerary. There will be a few notable conflicting set times for attendees, including The xx vs. Dijon vs. Ninajirachi vs. Devo, Addison Rae vs. Alex, The Strokes vs. PinkPantheress, and David Byrne vs. Interpol.
The festival’s organizers also unveiled a special exhibit and film screening dedicated to Radiohead, “made from thousands of fragments created by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood during the recording of Kid A: sketches, paintings, collages, audio recordings, and handwritten notes.” The experience will take place inside a newly-constructed bunker.
