Stream Connections’ New Album Foreign Affairs
For Midwestern rock fans, Connections should already be a familiar name. The Columbus, Ohio quartet has already released four fantastic albums of rough and tumble indie pop that called back to the genre’s ‘90s heyday when bands were molding the sound of classic rock into a new punk-inspired framework.
Their work has, until recently, been a cult delight but is now threatening to go worldwide with the forthcoming release of their fifth album Foreign Affairs via the ever-reliable Chicago label Trouble In Mind. The move to this new imprint hasn’t shifted the group’s vision or aesthetic one iota. If anything, they sound more inspired and driven on this album, rewriting the code for glam, unplugged balladry and power pop.
Foreign Affairs is set to be released this Friday, May 11th.
