Cuco Cancels Tour After Tour Bus Accident

Cuco, the project of L.A.-based songwriter Omar Banos, has canceled the remaining dates on his national tour following an accident involving his tour bus. The accident occurred early Monday morning as the band was headed towards Nashville—a tractor trailer hit the van as it was parked on the side of Interstate 40, WBBJ-7 reports. All those injured are currently in stable condition and recovering in an area hospital, according to a series of tweets from the band’s PR agency.

Cuco announced the accident on his Instagram, saying he “just underwent surgery … but thankfully everyone is recovering.” He said that everyone is alive “by a blessing.” He goes on to apologize to his fans: “I’m so sorry everyone, I love you.”

I’m so sorry about cancelling the upcoming shows. I can’t do this right now. We’re all alive by a blessing. Last night felt like hell on earth and I’m hurting and watching my brothers hurt. It’s a blessing to be here alive. I realized so many things as I was on the floor wondering if i was going to see my family again , if I was going to see my friends again, if my friends were alive, so many things I can not explain. I am forever thankful that all of us are alive. Please keep the rest of the band in your thoughts and hope everything will be okay. I’m sorry but I can’t be on the road for a while. I love you all.
