Listen to D.R.A.M.’s Glamorous New Single “The Uber Song”
Photos by Christine Hahn, Faye WebsterHip-hop’s reigning court jester D.R.A.M. is back with a new track. “The Uber Song,” produced by MeLo-X, was originally created for Spotify’s “Traffic Jams” video series, which blindly pairs up a rapper and a producer to create a track while trapped in L.A. traffic. If that sounds like a draconian thing to subject anyone to, it’s worth watching the full episode to see D.R.A.M. go downright kooky at the sight of his face on a billboard. The song itself is nothing short of smile-inducing, compacting Big Baby’s charming cheekiness and goofy streak into a smooth, effortless groove. Check out the finished project below.
If one new song wasn’t enough of a gift, D.R.A.M. also shared a video for a demo called “Group Thang,” wherein he drinks and dances his way through a Nerf gun-infested Hollywood Hills party over a beat that sounded as if “Pick Up the Phone” was purchased through the Wii Shop Channel.
You can catch D.R.A.M. performing live with Travis Scott on Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. tour through the summer, and stream his two new tunes here and here if you haven’t already.
