D4vd accused of impregnating Celeste Rivas Hernandez one year before her killing
Phone records presented in court on Friday revealed that Hernandez was pregnant with David Anthony Burke’s child but later aborted it.

D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has pleaded not guilty to Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s murder, but Los Angeles County prosecutors have recovered photos and text messages from Burke’s phone that detail the sexual nature of his and Hernandez’s relationship. As Burke’s preliminary hearing continues, prosecutors presented recovered photos, spanning November 2023 through March 2025, that depict Burke and Hernandez engaging in sex acts. LAPD detective Corey Farrell testified on Friday that text messages recovered also reveal how Burke allegedly impregnated then-13-year-old Hernandez and convinced her to get an abortion. Burke asked in one text, “It is mine right?” Hernandez replied in another, “of course its yours David.”
Months later, Hernandez expressed regret over the abortion, writing to Burke: “I care about u i killed my kid [for] you….id do anything to have it back.” Other messages submitted at the hearing showed the pair discussing having sex at the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, Burke wanting Hernandez to move into his home, and him expressing a desire to marry Hernandez in Italy. The messages paint a picture of Burke and Hernandez’s on-again, off-again relationship. According to prosecutors, the couple argued the night before Hernandez’s alleged killing, with the teen accusing Burke of having relationships with other women. If convicted, Burke could face the death penalty.
