Dawes Announce Their Sixth Album, Passwords, Due out in June

The Southern California-based rock band Dawes have a new album coming out. On Friday morning, the band announced their plans to release their sixth studio album, Passwords, on June 22 through their very own HUB Records. The first single from the forthcoming album, “Living In the Future,” is set to drop on May 10. As the name of this single suggests, Passwords is setting up to be an album that’s written for and about the modern age.

“We’re living in such a unique moment in history,” says Dawes lead singer, Taylor Goldsmith, in a statement. “Many of these songs are an attempt to come to terms with the modern world, while always trying to consider both sides of the story.”

The band also has an upcoming tour lined up, which kicks off on May 20 at Houston’s Great Texas BBQ Festival. Tickets for the tour are available here.
