Photos by Dave Kotinsky/Getty, Vittorio Zunino Celotto/GettyVeteran English electronic band Depeche Mode has a big year ahead. They’ve just revealed that they’ve got a new album coming out, Spirit, sometime in the spring of 2017.
Spirit will be their first collaboration with producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. “He’s helped us to make what we feel is a very incredible sounding record,” said singer Dave Gahan. “He was able to really guide us.” This will be the band’s 14th album, and their first since 2013’s Delta Machine.
The band also announced that they’ll be touring Europe between May and July of next year. Proceeds from the tour will go to charity:water, an organization bringing clean water to people all over the globe.
And let’s not forget the Video Singles Collection that Depeche Mode announced recently: an assemblage of all the music videos they’ve ever produced. That’s due out Nov. 11.
