London-Based Trio Doe Call It Quits
Photo by Andrew NorthropSix years of touring and three albums later, London-based trio Doe will be calling it quits in September.
The band announced their decision to part ways in a heartfelt Instagram post published early Friday morning, writing that the split “has been on the cards for a while now” and is a “100% mutual/amicable/positive decision.”
The band will be performing at a farewell show in London on Sept. 7 and will continue to make music independently after parting ways.
“It’s easy to get caught up in the negative aspects of being in a band, the struggle is real and we’d be lying if we said it hasn’t often been stressful and anxiety-inducing to boot, but in spite of that it’s been the most incredible ride that we wouldn’t have swapped out for anything,” the trio wrote.
Doe released their third album Grow Into It in 2018 and a double-sided single “Team Spirit/Just What I Needed” in February. The band recently wrapped a month-long tour throughout the U.S. with Eureka California in March.
