Dope Lemon Announces New Album Golden Wolf with a Video for “Electric Green Lambo”

Angus & Julia’s 2010 hit “Big Jet Plane” introduced a pair of Australian siblings to the world with an orchestral downtempo swell. Fifteen years later, Angus Stone’s brand new video for “Electric Green Lambo” features its own big jet plane with the words, “DOPE AIRLINES” plastering the side, but the music has a decidedly funkier feel. While the duo has continued recording and performing together, releasing their sixth album Cape Forestier just last year, Angus has also been performing under the Dope Lemon moniker for almost a decade now. The prolific songwriter and performer has just announced his fifth Dope Lemon album, Golden Wolf, in that time period.
The second single off the album, “Electric Green Lambo,” is Stone at his most retro, and the video captures the vibe with honey dripping on the whole James Bondian scene.
“‘Electric Green Lambo’ is like stepping into a lucid dream,” he says, “part reckless adventure, part hazy nostalgia. It’s about chasing untamed energy, getting lost in neon and smoke, and breaking free from what holds you back. There’s this tension between wild freedom and the pull of something darker. It’s raw, dripping with mood, and, like the ride itself, unapologetically slick. Buckle up.”
