Drake Shares Trailer, Cover Art for His Forthcoming Album Scorpion

Leading up to the release of his forthcoming album Scorpion this Friday, June 29, Drake has shared a new trailer for the LP on his Instagram.
If the clip makes you feel a bit uneasy, it’s probably because the visual shares a score with Paste’s best movie of the year so far, the way-eerie Annihilation. The trailer is soundtracked by Moderat’s “The Mark (Interlude),” which the film’s composers used in that film’s “The Alien” theme.
Since the Canadian rapper announced the album—right after throwing the best high school reunion ever in the video for “I’m Upset”—billboards began popping up in Toronto with phrases like “A-side B-side” and “Is there more,” leading many to speculate that Scorpion may be a double album. Meanwhile, the dark and moody trailer has us speculating that sad Drake from Take Care might make an appearance.
