Eddie Vedder, Lana Del Rey to Headline Orange County’s First-Ever Ohana Music Festival

Music News Eddie Vedder

Just when you thought we were all done with music festival lineup announcements, here’s another one for you: the brand-new Ohana Music Festival in Dana Point, Calif. In its first year of existence, the Live Nation-produced event will feature headliners Eddie Vedder and Lana Del Rey. Other performers include Elvis Costello, City and Colour, Band of Horses, Cat Power, and Mudhoney—a fairly diverse group of artists, if mostly on the chiller side.

That laid-back slate makes plenty of sense for Ohana, which is being held on Doheny State Beach. A portion of the festival’s proceeds are being donated to the San Onofre Parks Foundation, which works with California State Parks to preserve the Golden State’s natural beauty. The festival will offer a variety of craft beer and wine, and surfer Kelly Slater is going to be in attendance, running a surf and ocean awareness exhibit.

Ohana seems different enough to be pretty cool, and the lineup is solid. Still, though, it’s fair to wonder if we’ve reached peak festival.
