Father John Misty Announces New North American Tour Dates

Father John Misty is guesting on SNL this week and if that isn’t enough, the Paste Quarterly cover guy is packing it up and going global in support of his forthcoming Pure Comedy LP.

Misty’s new headlining dates include Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre (May 5-6), Brooklyn’s King Theatre (May 10), Chicago Theatre (May 15), The Paramount in Seattle (May 24), Vancouver’s Festival Lawn at Deer Lake Park (May 26), and Mexico City’s Metropolitan Theatre (June 7). The tour as a whole starts with a late-March run of European shows, and the aforementioned record drops about two weeks later on April 7. Along the way, Mr. Misty will traipse through festivals in Arizona, Norway and Japan, and play shows in British Columbia and Mexico City. General public ticket sales for the tour start at noon local time on Friday, March 3.

You can see Father John Misty on the cover of Paste Quarterly Issue One here, and check out his full slate of tour stops below, along with Paste Cloud audio from his 2012 Daytrotter session and the excellent Pure Comedy cut “Ballad of the Dying Man.”
