Faye Webster Announces New Album Underdressed at the Symphony

Faye Webster has announced her next album, Underdressed at the Symphony, which will be released on March 1 via Secretly Canadian. The new LP is a follow-up to her widely acclaimed 2021 album, I Know I’m Funny haha. Webster refines a familiar intimacy within her songwriting on the upcoming album. She meticulously weighs lyrical moments of catharsis and humor over lilting blends of indie rock, country, and R&B.

In conjunction with the album announcement, Webster has unveiled a new single titled “Lego Ring” featuring rapper and psych-rocker Lil Yachty. Yachty and Webster have been close friends since childhood and, on the single, the pair sing about desiring a ring made of crystal Lego on top of warped, melodic instrumentals. “I think I hit a point in songwriting during this record where I was just like, man, I said a lot.” says Webster of the single. “The record feels like a mouthful to me, but I don’t always have to be deep. I can just sit down and sing about this ring made of crystal Lego that I really want.”
