Faye Webster’s latest single will have you recalling old flames just ahead of her forthcoming album, Atlanta Millionaires Club, due out May 24 via Secretly Canadian.
With a country saunter that feels reminiscent of the Atlanta native’s 2013 record Run and Tell, Webster’s “Right Side of My Neck” makes a tempting case for that summery sort of romantic daydreaming—you know, the wistful yearning kind that makes you hesitate before tossing a lover’s shirt in the wash, if only to hold onto their lingering scent for a tad longer.
“I didn’t think about writing or what I was doing,” Webster says of her songwriting process for the whimsical release. “I was fresh from a feeling and that’s when I get some of my most honest and relatable songs.”
