FKA twigs Releases “sad day,” Latest Track off Forthcoming Album MAGDALENE

FKA twigs has premiered the latest track off her forthcoming album MAGDALENE, titled “sad day.” The album, which is available this Friday, Nov. 8, via Young Turks, has been hotly anticipated; other singles off the album, including “cellophane,” “holy terrain (feat. Future)” and “home with you,” have excited fans and racked up millions of streams.

“sad day” is melodic and brooding; the hypnotic track is another example of FKA twigs’ unique, innovative production and songwriting skills.

Last week, FKA twigs made her first TV appearance in support of MAGDALENE, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and performing “cellophane.” Fallon himself exclaimed, “This is really unbelievable what they do tonight, you’ll never see anything like it on TV” in praise of the artist.

FKA twigs kicked off her North American MAGDALENE tour this past weekend in Vancouver. Initially launched with a run of sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London and Sydney earlier this May, the MAGDALENE live experience “weaves a tapestry of sound, performance, costume, pole dancing, Wushu, set design and lighting,” per a press release.
