Is Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold Teasing New Music?

Robin Pecknold, lead singer of Fleet Foxes, uploaded a short video to Instagram this week with what sounds like the beginnings of a new song. The video, captioned “Rolling,” features five seconds of footage of a home studio setup, while gentle acoustic fingerpicking plays in the background. Robin sings only three words—“mind over mind”—before the clip ends.

Fleet Foxes’ last album was 2017’s Crack-Up—we ranked the LP among 2017’s best. Fleet Foxes spent the rest of 2017 and most of 2018 touring in support of Crack-Up, including spots at Coachella, Shaky Knees and Pitchfork Music Festival.
