Forth Wanderers Cancel Summer Tour, Citing Mental Health Issue

Forth Wanderers were set to embark on a summer headlining tour in the U.S. starting tomorrow, June 27, in Richmond, Va. in support of their self-titled debut album, released via Sub Pop in April. Nothing seemed amiss when just yesterday they released the music video for “Taste.” However, as revealed in a statement written by vocalist/lyricist Ava Trilling and posted on the band’s social media on Tuesday, the summer tour dates have been canceled due to a recently diagnosed mental health issue Trilling is currently dealing with.

“The decision to cancel these shows has weighed heavily on me, and obviously affects many other people besides myself—including my bandmates and the other artists we were set to play with on this tour,” Trilling stated in the announcement. “Please know that I do not make these decisions lightly and ultimately need to put my own mental health first at the end of the day.”

Illuminati Hotties were meant to join the band for their July 5-14 dates before the tour’s conclusion on July 18. The band is presumably still playing the two festival dates scheduled to occur after the summer tour. Neither Shadow of the City in N.J. nor the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia have made announcements regarding a lineup change.
